A fire broke out on the slopes above Scarborough, Cape Town, in the early hours of Monday morning, and has spread towards Ocean View.
Several homes evacuated and some have been lost at the top of Ocean View. The City of Cape Town has reported that the smoke is very heavy.
There are approximately 100 officials on the scene.
